OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS: Congratulations to Angela Waller for her notable recognition by New Moms Inc! Angela was honored by New Moms Inc. on September 26, for establishing an ongoing partnership with New Moms Inc., and for the hospital’s support of its Academy of Professional Development Program, a program which offers job readiness training, life skills and coaching for young mothers. Each year, Loretto Hospital hosts “A Woman in Healthcare” panel in direct response to this program and the organization’s need to provide its participants insight into the wide range of career options in the healthcare industry.
Loretto Hospital is providing better standards, better care, and better outcomes to the community it serves! We are taking every step to prevent infection during our patient’s hospital stay. In a recent infection control report submitted to National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), Loretto Hospital showed zero infections in the First Quarter of 2017. Hand hygiene and implementing standard best practices when caring for our patients are key for preventing infections. We will continue to raise the bar in service excellence with our best practices to keep our patients safe.
Loretto is giving back to the community! Loretto Hospital donated one of its vans to one of its community partners to help further the organization’s cause. The van was presented to Father’s Who Care and received by Founder and Executive Director, Rev. Walter Jones, along with some of the participating youth in the organization.
